ponart is the contraction of my chosen alter ego initials “pon” and the word “art”. “ponart” has been my personal web domain since the mid 90’s. Awhile back I moved to a hosting company that had WordPress installed and I did one page and lost interest. Then last year I moved to another hosting company and it put that “WP Learning Page” at the root. Rather than remove it and revert to my simple HTML pages, now a year later, I’m going to try use WordPress to display individual poems. Many “WordPress for Dummies” books are helping me along.

My posts are drawn from the 20 collections and 400 poems I have saved since 1972. Images included in the posts, that may or may not be directly related to the words, are mine unless noted otherwise.

The website logo is an oil painting of mine named The Meeting” from the late 1970’s. There is a “pon” signature woven into the root structure.

Currently, WordPress “categories” correspond to my poetry collections.
